Flutter app development company for Android, iOS and web apps

One Flutter codebase, designed, built, tested, released to the app stores and maintained by one engineering team.

What Flutter is

Flutter is Google’s open source framework for building natively compiled apps for mobile (Android and iOS), web, desktop and embedded devices from a single codebase. Apps are written in the Dart language, and on Android and iOS the Dart code is compiled ahead of time into native machine code.

During development, hot reload injects code changes into the running app and keeps its current state, so screens can be adjusted without restarting the app. When an app needs a device feature, Flutter reaches platform APIs through plugins, platform channels or Dart’s native interop with Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective-C.

When Flutter is the right choice

  • You need the same app on Android and iOS, and want one codebase instead of two.
  • The app has a custom, branded design. The Flutter docs call these apps well suited to Flutter.
  • You want a web version of an app-like product, such as a single-page app or progressive web app.

When native may be better

  • You need only one platform and want to use its own toolkit directly.
  • You already have a native app and team. Flutter can still add new screens as a module (add-to-app).
  • Your web presence is text-heavy content. The Flutter docs recommend plain HTML for static, document-style pages.

What we deliver

Our mobile team works with iOS, Android, Kotlin, React Native and Flutter, so the advice on Flutter versus native comes from engineers who build both. A Flutter project with us covers the whole path from first screen to store listing.

Design

Screens and user flows, with product design that makes your app easier to use.

Build

One Flutter codebase for Android and iOS, plus web where it fits, connected to your backend.

Testing

Flutter’s unit, widget and integration tests cover functions, single widgets and complete flows.

App store release

Release builds and store submission for Google Play and the App Store.

Maintenance

Updates, fixes and new features after launch, by the team that built the app.

Ways to work together

Team Augmentation

Hire an individual or a custom group of professionals that will be formed by us and will become a dedicated part of your team.

Full-project development

Hire a team of dedicated professionals necessary to design, develop and launch your project.

By the Hour

Acquire the services of a proficient developer to contribute to your project based on an hourly arrangement, ensuring flexibility and efficient progress.

Want to hire Flutter developers for your own team instead? Tell us the roles you need and we share vetted profiles, usually within a week.

How a Flutter project runs

  1. Scoping call

30 minutes, paid. Your app, platforms and timeline. You get a fixed quote and timeline.

  2. Design

Screens and flows agreed before the build starts.

  3. Build

One Flutter codebase, with native code only where a device feature needs it.

  4. Test

Unit, widget and integration tests before each release.

  5. Release and maintain

Store submission, code and documentation handover, then upkeep.

AI coding tools in our Flutter work

Our engineering team ships with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor daily. On a Flutter project, rules files (CLAUDE.md, .cursor/rules, AGENTS.md) give every developer and every AI assistant the same conventions for your repo, so less time goes on boilerplate and repeated fixes.

The Flutter team also publishes a Dart and Flutter MCP server, which connects an AI assistant to the Dart SDK for analyzer diagnostics, test runners and runtime inspection. On business plans, vendors generally do not train on your code, but settings vary, so we check and configure each tool.

If your own developers want the same setup, see AI coding tools for dev teams.

Frequently asked questions

How is the project priced?

After a 30-minute scoping call we send a fixed quote, or an hourly rate for open-ended work. All prices + 18% GST.

Should we build in Flutter or go native?

If you need the same app on Android and iOS, and possibly the web, Flutter usually means one codebase instead of two. If you need only one platform and want to use its own toolkit, or you already have a native app and team, native can be the better fit. Our mobile team works in both, so we recommend one after the scoping call.

Can you add Flutter to our existing Android or iOS app?

Flutter supports this through add-to-app: a Flutter module renders part of your app while the rest stays in its existing technology. We check on the scoping call whether that suits your app or whether a full rebuild makes more sense.

Can we hire Flutter developers to join our own team?

Yes. With Team Augmentation our engineers join your team, or you can take a developer on an hourly arrangement. Tell us the roles you need and we share vetted profiles, usually within a week.

Is Flutter a good choice for our website?

For app-like experiences on the web, yes. For a text-heavy marketing site or blog, the Flutter documentation itself recommends plain HTML, so we would build that part as a regular website.

Who owns the code?

You do. Code and documentation are handed over at the end of the project.

Can you work in our time zone?

Yes. We shift working hours to give you the overlap you need.
